I bought a mifi from Walmart through Virgin Moble that uses the spint network. The Mifi was $127 and they have an unlimited plan for $50.00 a month have been very pleased with it. Only a few places where I couldn't get a signal.

This is what I use. It's not the fastest solution, but it's the cheapest. No overages.

True not the fastest but netflix seems to work fine on it so I'm good. Not sure how the gaming stuff would be. Also most of the TA's sell the top up cards for it if you don't want to use your CC for the payment.

Sorry for the mistake, they have an offer for the 4g for a few more weeks to get people into the 4g phones

4g is a waste unless u travel or live in an 4g area u don't what the extra data charges sprint now charges that extra 10$ a month reguardless if its a 3g or 4g all because of the iphone

Thanks for the continuing replies, but I have one more dumb question on all this WIFI stuff.... since I plan on using a laptop and not a smartphone, is the MIFI a better option than hotspot option, or would either pretty much work the same?
-
That would depend on the carrier and phone choice. My thunderbolt can do voice and data at the same time, so a call won't interrupt data streaming to my laptop.

Sure rub it in and brag LOL only way u can do that on sprint is wifi or 4g buy hopefully with the switch to lte in the next couple of years that will change
