Scarry that they have camera's all around and automatic trucks -
Thanks for the responses. Very amusing, some of them.. However, I wasn't thinking about as use for replacing use of mirrors or GOAL etc... Maybe just a little "gentler" way to bump the dock when it's difficult to gauge.
let's face it... there are a lot of jacked up trailer rears out there!

Hmmm I've got an Automatic, blind spot camera, Eaton Vorad Collision Avoidance system but no backup radar or camera.
Does having all this safety equipment on my truck make me just a steering wheel holder too?
My thought is... once you bump a few docks, you can tell by using your mirrors about how far you are from the dock when backing. No radar needed. -
Technology is a conspiracy. We learn nothing, remember nothing, and will be unable to do anything without some type of wireless device. Pretty soon we will be unable to do anything on our own. The government is setting us up. They track us; they know our buying habits and what we eat. Pay attention America !!!!.

At this rate, there really will be a day when robots drive trucks and dispatchers will be pleased!

All the thing's mentioned here camera's senors GPS, all can be useful tools just like a hammer and screw driver. There nice to have when you need them. But unfortunately to many drivers can't survive without them.

Heck I am trying to figure out how to hook this computer to my truck and I can sit at home. They got cars that park themself so I am waiting on trucks that drive themselves. we can put sensors in the highway so thet can be programed to follow a route. Remote door openers on the trailers. The computer will even know when to go to the truckstop for service or repairs. Put dirt sensors on it so it will know when to go to the truckwash. Put back up sensors in the front bumper and wire then to the horn. Only thing I have to wait till they bring back full service truck stops so someone can pump the fuel
