all i can say is they better be putting every dime they can back NOW cause when this takes effect everyone on e logs is gonna go broke and its gonna be worse for the lease ops since they are responsable for so many bills on the truck. thank god for paper logs at least we will still be able to shuffle stuff around somewhat. :biggrin_25513:

Anyone having to do more than one reset in a 7 day period should be rethinking this job anyway... Seems rather silly to me that the government needed to actually make that a 'rule'..

What about if you come off hometime, get rolling break down sit at a repair shop or a terminal for a couple days, your screwed. It's not because you want a restart.

line 4 for 15 minutes even though you aren't in the truck. It should stop the QC timer towards a reset.

    JimBob24 Thanks this.

the restart in a 7 day period. YES.

but the new rules are 168 hours. BETWEEN restarts.

that means 7 days AFTER restart. for a total of 9 and quite possibly 10 days. they way they've got it written.

guess i'm gonna have to start practicing my recaps. cuz i aaverage 3500 miles a week. and easily eat up my 70.

The only time I reset is when I go home. Went home for Thanksgiving got my reset after 9 days back out hours were almost gone. Just started running the recap and have been ever since.

Wow, I must be old. Been doing 2500 +/- for a while. Not getting rich, but not burning out either. Being governed at 62 impacts as well, but I really don't want those miles running solo, company.:biggrin_25513:

168 hours is 7 days.. Didn't see anything in that new rule that indicated anything different.. Still seems silly to limit the number of 34 hour resets in such a manner when the goal is to make sure we as drivers are rested...

Then again it is the government we are talking about..
