    just looking for some info i was looking at buying a 2005 lowmax with ser60 det and heard that there are some issues wonder if anyone can let me know of any info they mit have heard ( i heard cooling is a major issue that do to the fact that the truck is so low that the air cant pass and the detroit spends most of its time over heating is there any truth to this ..... thanks looking forward to your posts

    I had an 2006 Lowmax with a detroit and never had any issues with over heating.

    The "lowness" comes mostly from suspension drop and mounting the cab closer to the frame. They are not "that" low as to limit the radiator size.

    Nope I'll vouch for that as well. The grill size is only like a inch or two smaller, not gonna be a sufficient enough difference to cause over heating.

    I have a 2004 Lowmax wiht a C15 and regularly pull 46,000# loads of steel and even a few loads out west with it and have NEVER had it overheat on me. Not sure abut the Detroits but I highly doubt they would have any issues either.
