Even the lightweights aren't going to hit 8mpg. Sorry. 55, Appalachia, loaded w/ 43k, it was in the mid 7s. He gets over 8 and sometimes 9 if he's empty.

 

You can hit 8 fairly consistantly - but, it takes wide singles that are fuel efficient not the XDNs they are putting on company trucks, the newer trailers with wide singles, AND a lot of driver technique. Don't plan on it happening in the mountains, cold weather - and with a 2xxxx-series trailer, especially with drive tires on it.

 

I was getting 7.6 earlier, til I hit the hills in Missouri. I'm loaded to about the max, 79160 with half a fuel load. Anything over half a fuel load puts me over 80,000. Thank you Georgia Pacific....

 

Since you're "outta da box" - ya need to be thinkin' that way too! Fill your tires with helium... that oughta help!

 

what kinda tvs work in the companys mini trucks, will be gettin mine in about a month and would like to know ahead of time what to look for.

 

I had a 22 inch samsung in mine. strapped it down to my fridge when I parked. Rest of the time it was on my bed

 

I just came through all of Wyoming today in high wind and was just barely gettin 6.0

 

I have a Walmart 19" Black Friday el-cheapo special. That's about all I need - TV sucks. Don't know if the newer trucks have an HDTV capable antenna in them, but I had to buy one to get local TV. I mostly watch DVDs anyway.

I ran up to SLC, then down to Plainview TX last week. Cold, wind, snow n' slush, mountains - not to mention winter blend fuel and having to push the speed up going UPHILL on the way to SLC. Down to 6.85 avg for the week. I usually get a bad week or two in the winter - could have been worse - but that's par for the course.
