I've mentioned in a few posts that I'm getting back into dry-van due to their style of running and also wanting to stay in a strictly, Southwest running area.
Apart from Andrus(already approved), Heartland, and Mesilla Valley Transportation(both still getting approved for), I put in an app and was cleared for Fackler.
Only problem right now is that they don't have any additional trucks and they're waiting for a slot to open up.
Only reasons I was finding this company alright was after talking to a few of the drivers at shippers, their running area matched where I wanted to remain (the 15, 70, 25, 40 corridors) and they primarily hauled beverages and trash/paper products.
They said that even though I got a CA license, they'll still take me on provided I get either a CO or NM license within 4 months.

I'm willing to relocate and all for this, but has anyone else ever driven with these guys before? Or know someone that did?

I used to work right next to their terminal/dock in Colorado Springs; small company; I see their trailers all the time at home depots around the area, so I always thought they were more of a local intrastate carrier. Mostly day cabs with a couple sleepers. They NEVER have employment ads in Colorado Springs compared to the other small local carriers, which IMO is probably a good thing. Happy drivers, no turnover, no need to constantly hire.

I talked to a few of their drivers while at some customers down in Albuquerque.
The farthest they go out is SoCal. They essentially stick to the "15/70/25/40" rectangle of freeways.
To me, that's the perfect version of a running area and why I put an app in with them.
But like you said, happy drivers, good freight and routes, and no turnover whatsoever. That's probably the reason why their HR said I make the cut there, but there's no positions available at the moment.

The other cool thing one of their drivers told me is that while most of them like to run as much as possible, one could also get the weekends off if that's what they wanted.
Drive during the week, take some weekend college classes on campus.

They give me the word, I'm definitely making my move towards it!!

Pay per mile with this company is lowest out there, there equipment is old, and trailers are in bad shape, about the only good thing is it’s dedicated runs, they did not pay me my last check after we parted, three weeks of pay

    bentstrider83 Thanks this.

They run ads out of state to find drivers, because the CDL drivers in Colorado Springs knows there reputation, don’t waist you time, there are far better out there

    bentstrider83 Thanks this.

Indeed I did. Considering how long ago and under the circumstances I posted this thread, I've come a long way since then. Tankers, local and regional, and loving it.
