Better in the sand then up my ##* dude...

Yeah, I do wish for the "good old days"... I wish for the America I was born into and educated in to come back. The country that I pledged my allegiance to as I stood in class with my hand over my heart is diminishing and I'm not just "accepting it". The country that we have fought for, the lifestyle we work for, the rights and privileges we deserve as citizens are all being steadily eroded and taken from us.

People that think like you will be the death of this country, willing to roll over and accept the current state of affairs as "inevitable", too comfortably numb to try and make a stand to change it...

Wal mart is just as bad. Coming into town shutting down ma and pa stores by offering their cheap cheap prices on their cheap items(yes i know some good can be found there but very little) which they afford by hiring cheap labour.

If you want to stand in the way of progress, be my guest and
get run over. The "Good ole days" were when we had double
diget unemployment and double diget interest rates on our
homes under Carter. I do wish this country cared more about
our morals than to give a rapest like Clinton a third term
through his wife. But as a delivery driver I am not afraid of
the mexicans.I supposed they make better OTR drivers but
with the language barrier most would be lucky to get off
10 stops a day. I worry more about the Dems slowing down
our rate of growth. As long as the economy keeps growing
at the rate it has been free trade will help keep unemployment low.

As for "rolling over" I do belong to the NRA, the American Motorcyclists
Asociation and I vote in every election. Thats more than most people do.
I have also lived in third world countries and know that America can compete with any of them. What needs to change is less money going
to China and more to Mexico. When they open more factories in Mexico
if you want to go down there and make 3 dollars an hour, go ahead.
But don't kid yourself that the same factories could operate in the US.
Its not a catastrophe, it called progress......

Wow! All this hate and discontent over 142 trucks...
Looks like the American truck driver has about ten times
the chance of being put out of busness by Unfair and
illegal hireing of Swift drivers than Mexican drivers.
The same thing was said about every minority that
has ever come to this country including the Irish.
They are comming to steal our jobs.....

There used to be many people that put shoes on horses.

    The country survived.

There used to be lots of people that operated telegraphs.

    The country survived.

    Progress.
