Why not? If you company allows Off Duty PC you can. I do it all the time when I need to go somewhere.
Again why not? All you have to do is make a note and you are covered.
This happens to me a lot. All I have to do is state in the remarks why I was in violation and my butt is covered.

Actually, I applaud the people quitting due to e-logs. That is government intrusion of business and is very 1984ish. We're all bending over and taking it though....
I am only tolerating them for the time being until I can get something local where I am home every night anyway. -

Yeah, I remember several occasions with PAM where paper made something possible that Elog will make impossible. If that makes dispatchers and planners think a little harder well good!
