@SHC - I'm in the same learning boat...Absolutely having a blast! I get to give my 2 weeks notice in 5 days and then go full time trucking. Been out on a few runs already oil field/Gas plant equipment pretty challenging to chain/strap but love the mental challenge. Also with all the post on here I am learning A LOT before I even get there!

    This is too funny!

Where are all the pro strap guys at, they should be all over this. Less work for them the better. Now if they could only get a gadget to throw the strap and hook it, life will be great.

    SHC Thanks this.

I really like my Durabilt ratchets, they are easy as heck to use and they are not expensive at all ($29 each at tarpstop)

After seeing a guy break a SCC today, I highly advise against them!!!

I use the SCC binders to hold my 4x4s. They are easy to lock and the handle stays out if the way.

    SHC Thanks this.

Now that's not a bad idea. Keep one on to hold lumber out of the way and then u can just padlock it so nobody steals them while your away. Thanks for the idea!!

What a joke. If you can not secure your load you should not be pulling a flat. Just another way for truckers to get lazier.
