Got to organizing my files and found last years so I thought I would post it as well.
I started orientation in February of 2010....can't remember the exact date.

I have two pairs of coveralls, one thin that I wear most of the time, and one insulated that I only wear if it gets really cold. I have found that if you keep moving at a good pace, you will stay pretty warm...even sweat.
For gloves I use ones just like they give you at orientation. They are over sized leather gloves, not the good rawhide ones. No sense in getting the better ones because they all fall apart sooner than later. I have the jersey inserts to put in them when it gets cold.
For boots, I have my hunting boots for when it gets really cold or if I think I am going to be out in it for a long time. Other than that I have my leather work boots from Wolverine which are also Gore-Tex so they keep my feet dry. I also have a pair of steel toe boots for places that insist that it be steel toe.
Typically you are not going to be outside for more than an hour if you are doing steel. If you are doing lumber tarps on a lumber or drywall load, you will probably not be in sub zero cold weather.
I always wear my ski cap under my helmet, because I have a shaved head and it gets cold really fast.

Is the office open on Monday as it is the Observed New Years Day since it falls on a Sunday?
I have been off all week and was planning on calling in on Tuesday Morning.
I would think that most places are closed on Monday.

 

That is what I figured....I will just enjoy Jan 2 and start on Jan 3...
