i was thinking just switch the right to left to see if the code changes to the left sensor, then I would know for sure if its a hub, no?
-
This way works, but it is easier to jack front axe up, separate WSS connectors and use simple AVO Meter to test wheel speed signals
-
lost you on that one lol

I figured for the lower speed stuff like you said Id just run it one gear down in direct drive, thought that would give me better MPG at lower speeds.

volvo uses the bendix ec-60 w/ esp. since 2010, volvo decided that they would be funny and mount the abs ecu in a different spot. they moved it about 8 inches to the pass side...now this may not sound like much, but the abs ecu was tough to get to in the first place. now i've got to disassemble more crap to get to it.
anywho, for anyone that wants to know, this a bendix code 3-5. this code is set for wheel end. i've never seen this code (i deal a lot with abs/atc) so i'll copy and paste the bendix suggestions:
Verify mounting of exciter ring and condition of teeth. Verify proper bearing endplay. Verify condition and retention of clamping sleeve. Verify sensor lead routing
and clamping. Check mechanical function of brake. Check for kinked or restricted
air lines.
just a heads up, i can't remember off of the top of my head, but there was a few volvos that had recalls on the front end. the brake system was designed incorrectly and if you turned the wheels too hard one way or the other, the brake chamber would contact the axle. and among other things. i can't remember the trucks that were in this recall, but i can check on it for you...just need the last six of your vin.

something else, when they replaced the wss, did they replace the bracket that holds the sensor? these brackets are very bad about cracking. when it cracks, it won't hold the sensor tight enough.Last edited: Jan 1, 2012

Hey guys what was the fix for this stuff? I’m dealing with the same issue.
