New Years resolutions, kicking in a day or 2 early??
Sure hope this JCT truck next to me is on HT. He was here when I pulled in yesterday and is still here. -
Where you at? lol go knock on his door
-
I am stuck in Franklin, OH and will be here till Tue.
Company will pay for a motel room, for 1 night and some measley little sum for sitting. Not sure a motel is worth it tho. Got everything I need, right here in the truck. Satellite is set up and eating places close by. Course, tv is sucking about now. May have to watch Steven Segal flicks again.
Alanp613 Thanks this. -
You can call me whatever you want. I wasn't being hateful of rude about anything. And yes, it is true. And DOT has done it many times before. It was done at Arrow trucking, I knew several drivers there and one of my closest friends was a dispatcher there. They did it recently at Gunther's Transport.... anyone heard of them? They also got shut down after DOT camped in-house for several months and they were deemed hazardous to the motoring public. After one of JCTs more serious accidents when your owner visited the driver in the hospital and tried to coax him into claiming it was a "coughing spell" and not from running illegal and being tired....... yeah, it all came out in court and the driver blew the whistle. Say what you want buddy, but this is not good. And it looks really bad for JCT right now. Don't believe me, do your own research....... Shamus.

Document ANY of your claims or they are just more "trucker stories".

LOL, its public information. Don't be so lazy, if you want to know anything..... its at your finger tips.
-
They did shut down Gunthers and another company owned by his son. I not so sure DOT was camped out in their office.
Alanp613 Thanks this. -
A 6 year driver thinking he know it all. Dot don't got the time to babysit a company. They come in, do their audit, if they fail they get fined and period to correct the problem.
-
Alan is correct. After the audit the inspectors leave. They return after a certain period of time (usually 90 days) and go over the records again to see if the carrier has implemented "corrective measures." If the carrier has not complied then fines are levied. In some cases the violations are so rampant they revoke the carriers operating authority.
My carrier went through a similar audit several years ago.Alanp613 Thanks this.
