Ok His DBl i believe is in Atlanta and was told of the truck on friday the same day the driver was fired, the DBL was told by the equipment planner there was a truck in Carlisle that just come available. Now I doubt the DBL knew the condition of the truck and figured most driver's keep a clean truck since we live in them. I would say that this DBL will be just as surprised as Alllen about the truck. Now if this DBL doesn't want to fix the issue then i'll be the first to blame him. I'm by no means saying that evry thing is perfect with Schneider but i am describing my experiences and the way the system usually works. Now time will tell how well his DBL is at making things right. So as for now I'm inclined to have faith and give the benefit of doubt to SNI as of now. However I won't let another driver's experience cloud my judgement. I do take all info into account but I and only I make my decisions. Well til I get HOME ....LOL
R.Rodriguez and scatruck Thank this. -
Make them clean it. They will insist on the truck being clean when you turn it in (and they will be somewhat "picky"). Whatever truck you get, document any damage and give it a thorough inspection and write up anything that needs fixed (as in safety and comfort, not cosmetics). Once you leave with it, it's yours.

been reading this thread, and here's my thought.don't know the inside of sni truck's,but if it's carpeted, and urine is spilled,it could've soaked all the way through and you'll never get the smell out unless you rip everything out and replace.

Its been years since ive seen carpet in any fleet truck.
Btw. I think hes gonna end up having to request a new dispatcher. Just my feeling from dealing with enough of those duchbags. Go over his head if he gives ya a hard time. The company is pretty good but not all their people are -
You don't need a 6th grade education to figure out a carrier paying less than 1980's wages isn't going to spend a dime cleaning all the trucks that get abandoned .

I am based out of the Guelph OC in Canada. I just finished my orientation, and got my truck assigned last wednesday. It was in the shop getting cleaned out by some high school students, and even though it wasn't cleaned out perfectly, they did a good job on it. The only thing I could find when doing my interior inspection for the first time, was an unused tea bag. It was a good feeling to be given a clean truck.

They should hire some kids in Carlisle to clean up the trash and leaking pi$$ jugs....that would be a good way to encourage young people to enter the industry/profession!snafu Thanks this.

Just a FYI...I spoke with DBL at 0800. At 0802, the problem was resolved. He was appalled at the condition of the truck as i reported it to him. He placed me on hold, called Carlisle OC, and the truck is now in the shop for a PM and then it is going to clean up to get detailed. He said the truck would be spotless inside and out when I got it. He also paid for another night in the hotel and another day on the rental car so I would have a way to get about while I'm waiting.
As long as it is clean and fresh, with a new mattress, Ill be satisfied. I think it will be. -
Should have had and saved pics.
Kudos to your DBL>finally
