It's best to get an early jump on getting into shape ASAP before going to NLR.
-
Yep, good idea! LOL!

Good thing I just came off of 18 months of active duty orders with the Air Guard as a Loadmaster. (insert joke here)

I agree, I was unemployed for 2 years. Maverick doesn't just look at employment history, a lot of it is your attitude.

You can do it. I'm a big guy to ( 6' 300 lbs ) and the hardest part was the step test. You have to do it for 3 min to a metronome on a 4/4 beat.BigUn051785 Thanks this.

the training is top notch....the people are great...BUT...be ready for LONG hours....running REAL close to the 14 hour rule...and a LOT of tarping..if your diabetic....TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF....i went to little rock in october....went through the training....graduated...had to be driven to gary indiana to get my truck....delivered my first load...picked up my second...and my blood sugar bottomed out in springfiled ohio at the shipper....an ambulance was called and i spent the night in a e.r. there....i was ran the entire 14 hours....only time i stopped was for fuel because of my real tight appoitment times....1st app.. made it with 10 min to spare...was preplanned halfway there...made it to springfield with 15 min to spare....maverick was good about getting me home....i sat in that shippers parking lot and slept till about 7 that evening....when another driver came and got me and ran me back south to tennessee....now my dr dosent want me to drive anymore....so i had to call charlie and resign...now i have to start over before the wolves come calling again...guys.....take care of yourselves....i made the mistake of running like a "healthy" person...and i found out the hard way ...i cant.....just letting you new guys know whats out there....holding that steering wheel is easy....barn training seems easy...but when they sit 3 "suicide" coils on that trailer in a row and shes top heavy because there skinny....remember your training.....hog tie that stuff down...YOU CAN NEVER OVERSECURE A LOAD...
sewerman, JimTheHut and Rocket1949 Thank this. -
Sorry to hear youre gonna have to leave. Not sure how you got hired to begin with because as far as I know diabetes is a DOT disqualifier. Hope your year gets better.
