Might have to reach out to LB for the regional info........I am OTR and average between 2600 and 3000 a week lately.
Understand OTR gets "incentive" pay for miles over 2K, 2.5K and 3K each week. So gross can increase nicely when those thresholds are met.

I get the "performance bonus" on regional too. My weekly goal is 2000 miles so I get the extra $.03. I am getting between 2000-2300 miles running Monday-Friday. I even broke down Friday and still made 2000 miles.
Short weeks over the holidays hit the paycheck though, and this week is starting off slow. The Albany brewery seems to be taking their time getting up and running again. I'm sitting outside the guard shack waiting on a load now. Tick tock tick tock!!fatdog Thanks this. -
Sitting in Albany I smell the hops and barley brewing. Hopefully they'll be cranking out loads today.

Quallcom, just beeped... "NOTHING YET" was not the answer I wanted!

Well as many of you know I have been trolling this thread for a while now. Finally got to a point where I am back on my feet and can entertain the thought of driving again. So I put my application in with Millis last week on December 28th. Called this morning to check the status and got the same parting line as some others in the past..."We have chosen better applicants at this time".
I started to ask questions but just decided to let it go. I have no criminal history, no DUI's, been at my current job for six and a half years, and had one minor fender bender in April of 2009 that did not even go on the MVR. So not really sure what constitutes a "better applicant".
So, it looks like I am going to Athens Tech in the spring. I was really hoping to get on with Millis. I was very disappointed but that's just the way things go sometimes. -
Sorry to hear the bad news!! Millis is by no means a 'perfect' company. There are other good companies out there. Don't let this discourage you if you have your heart set on driving.

I know Millis is not perfect but I felt I would not get screwed by them if I could get on. I am not sure what other companies offer training comparable to Millis. I have no interest in Swift, Werner, and the likes. I don't want to do reefer either. I like flat bedding but not sure my back could handle it now.
I am open for suggestions on other companies.Crusty Thanks this. -
Once you finish with Athens Tech, I would look at Conway or Averitt for dry van. You said no refer, but KLLM is one of the companies I was looking at before Millis. None of those have training programs that I know of, they aren't CDL mills, and I have not heard anything horrible about them.
I would apply with Millis once again before you start school somewhere else. Demands change with turn over, and it sounds like you are a victim of Millis's low turn over, so more positions may be available in the future. -
I am just afraid with reefer I may not get the miles I need to produce a decent check weekly. That is my only fear with reefer.
I would re-apply with Millis but the lady on the phone said I have to wait six months. I don't know if I can hold out that long as much as I would like to work for them.
Does KLLM have their own training? Just curious.
I forgot to mention, another reason for wanting to go with Millis was that I could go home on the weekends during the schooling part since I am only an hour from Cartersville. -
Have patience. I'm gonna rain on an already cloudy day. The economy sucks. It's winter and it's an election year. It doesn't take a genius to forcast a change in administration. Nobody knows who will running the country or what they will do. This historically paralizes commerse. It could be companies are profiling applicants and culling those apps. that don't exactly fit. OR; I could just be paranoid.
