Conway Truckload Drivers what is your 20?

FAST interveiw in Detroit today then to Taylor Term.

 

live unload at this particular CAT, then heading down to La Porte and back to Laredo. Got to talk to my FM I need some miles.

 

Sitting in Forest City NC after they just D/H me here just to cancel the Ohio load to NAVSTAR ...I am number 1 on the board atleast

 

Offloaded in Bakersfield and put the truck in the KW shop here to get this chronic air leak checked.

 

I doubt they had it the plan to deadhead you after a load, just to cancel it.
Post holiday planning is like using a crystal ball.
Many loads are booked in advance with all good faith of being good.
Customer needs change, production can be up or down.
Many.times, especially with auto, or truck freight, loads are booked via 3rd party.
Thankful we don't haul gm or Ford, those days were a bugger.
Looks like most all areas have xtra power today.

 

What kind of truck do you.have?
I got a freightliner, they have these plastic hoses, with quick disconnects, and leak all the time. When replaced with brass fittings and unions, no more leaks.

 

I know....just funny it cancelled as soon as I pulled into the shipper...weather was kinda funky driving up I-75 anyways....think I'll give them another hr...then go to the pilot in Gaffney...only 20 mi worth a shower and a trip pak

 

Seems that way.
I was in Iowa trying to get home for Xmas.
Had 2 out of 3 loads cancel.
One I was at shipper, shipper said no freight, and also received a Qualcomm message asking for my eta, as customer was wanting a update.
Crazy sometimes.

 

I guess dinner tonight will be finely prepared by the waffle house.
scattered, covered, and chunked.

 

Yeah I got clock, waffle house or Arby's inside the pilot at Ex 90 (I think ) in Gaffney SC...looks to be a long cold freightless night !!
