I prefer TA/Petro because I like the option of either having a sit down dinner or if I choose, something quick to take back to the truck. Flying J. Then Pilot. then Love's.

Never thought of it as a great place to stop, mabe it will be cleaner now.
-
Really? Everytime i was ever at this stop it was 100% clean. Probably about the cleanest stop I have been to, parking lot and inside. Are we thinking of the same place?
-
look. Let's be honest. If pilot managed to come in and buy out, it was probably ready to go under, anyway. Their number of different pilots that I can think of, where that's happening. Take for example the one in Duncannon,PA
It used to be a Great American, but like most GA's it had it's struggles. Pilot came in and the place lost whatever usefulness it ever had. THe restaurant is now closed. (Apparently they think subway is the way to go. ) The parking lot has holes in it that are big enough to sublet. They don't honor Pilot's rewards programs, and the prices are higher than even most Pilots which is saying something.
GRanted, that they had a flood down there last summer. I thought.. I hoped... they'd take the opportunity to tear the place down and start over. Instead, they just patched things back together, or tried to.
Newer Pilots are embarrassingly small, both in the store and from a parking perspective. Take the one on I-78 x12 in Jersey as a good example. You need a whole 55 gallon drum of KY to fit your rig in there, about any night of the week.
So, what is their plan? I've been avoiding them of late. I know the J's are part of the same system, but frankly, they started in a much better plan, and so will take a while longer before they're down to same level of uselessness.
