If and when you research new employers,

    pay attention to past performance.

Sometimes a company that is losing millions of dollars a year,

is not a very safe bet !!!

Well I delivered in Louisiana this morning. Drop & Hook at Wallyworld. Drove an hour to Baton Rouge to pick up. Originally it wasn't supposed to pick up until tonight but got a message that the trailer is preloaded and ready to pickup so I grabbed that around 5/6am this morning. Now going to work my way towards NJ today. Not too happy about going to the Newark area but with a 1287 mile run, I'll deal with it.

    Or you're just modest.
    ..or you're exaggerating about Injun's exaggeration. :biggrin_25525:

Was told to plan on running the Southeast and get at least 2500 miles per nweek and am now setting in NH for 2 days and have not even seen 2000 miles since the buyout.

Miles are going to be low right now. January is probably the slowest month for van freight.

I wondered how that regional was going to work out, since Celadon has never done regional before. Guess it's not going very well, huh?

So yesterday I saw a Celadon driver with a Martini truck, pulling a Glen Moore trailer and with a GM hat on. I was like "You've got all the companies represented there!" He wasn't too sure he wanted to stay because of ELogs. I told him it's not so bad once you get used to it and learn how to work it. Hopefully that was enough to at least have him stick around for a few more weeks before looking elsewhere.

Oh, talk about turnaround. I pulled into Richmond. Dropped my empty. Went inside, I swear I was only inside for 15 minutes. Came back out, someone had already hooked to the empty I dropped and took off. Woah!

Let me start out by saying something positive. Marker light/headlight button on steering wheel are very convenient.. beats the heck out of slapping at toggles in the dark. Also the #### truck pulls hills if I am going 55mph.. if I am going 65 it falls flat. I guess the hp setting is tied to mph rather than rpm. I figured this out, because my MPH bonus was taken on my first load, and truck hasnt gone above 63 since. So I slid 5th forward to close gap, and started driving 55 to get my bonus back.. kind of funny that I have to drive 55 to get my bonus back to go 65 so I can just lose bonus again.
I guess the bottom line is I am just not used to being micromanaged to this extent (elog/macros/eobr sensors). also I keep getting 700/900 mile runs, as soon as I send "loaded call" and head out, the #### load gets changed and I have to drop in obscure yards a couple hundred miles away.. then sit in a mudpit yard standing by with no food/showers while my 14 hour clock counts down waiting for a "backup" run that never comes.. Are they pulling loads off me because my pay rate is higher than a other available driver???

I have been sitting in Florida since Friday morning. I told them two weeks ago I had to be home for a doctors appointment. I have 3 DM's since the buy out! I have 1100 miles for the week, I pay way more for insurance and I am not getting home for regional work like I was told I would. This is worse then GM! I am so out of here. I will pay the medical bills for my wife to have the baby...I will not loss my house for this place! And I wonder also if I sit and get pulled off good loads because I make more money! I feel like I was lied to from the day I walked into White Pine and told to head to Indy!
