Penny Layne Trucking? Anyone heard of them?

They sent me an email beginning with 'we've been trying to get in contact with you, but haven't been able to...' I don't mind the email, but I hate it when people start off by lying. They have NOT tried to contact me by cell phone (the number they have listed in the email) or else I would have picked up the phone.

I gather that they are recruiters, but that I don't know if they are good or bad.

 

I went to a CDL 'mill' and therefore do not have any experience. I have not driven since 7/28/11, so a refresher is required ($1000 I don't have).

So, you respond with their website? I don't want to know what they say about themselves, I want to hear what other drivers have to say.

Considering it. I'm still not working and unemployment dropped me to $231/week. Even a BFI company would pay more than that...

 

Nope. Nothing going on. May end up with a 40hr refresher if I do anything.
