I am one of them and you see them all the time, so I am guessing it is all hear say from this guy just like it is about 75% of the time.

Let me ask you this, are you on per mile or percentage? What are you making per mile including deadhead? True or false if your fuel mileage isnt what they say they want, you make an error on your paper log(such as logging fuel at wrong time even by accident),your out if route miles are over what they want then they ding your percentage for each of those? Whereby they always have a way to keep drivers on the lower end of the percentage scale. How much deadheadin to you do if on percentage? More than 15% is what I hear. Ive been flatbeddin over 16yrs and the story with TMC has been the same for most of those years. Heck two years ago Maverick put out word to us to help be ready to recruit from TMC drivers heavily because they had no money to buy permits and would have to shut down. They got fortunate and found a last minute financial backer. So if you're making. 42+cpm with good benefits and home most weekends then more power to ya but most of your drivers will say otherwise.

I am on % pay. I am on the upper half of it and its pretty easy to stay where I am since I have been at it for a while. If I tried with my OOR and my MPG I could be up on the top but I'm not complaining about where I am at. I am on Per Diem also and my W2 this year was a little over 62K grossed including my per diem. My Net was 43K. I dont think that is to bad for my first full year here and being home most weekends.

The whole thing that TMC went through on the financial side had to do with the owner handing the company over to his son and his son was doing the same thing that happened to Arrow that is until the owner came back and took over again because he saw his son was running his hard work into the ground.

they still do. company drivers also pay for tire chains as some idiots were selling the ones they were given.

The tarp pay is $50 minimum so it does work out, it's different.

Nope, I was just regular linehaul. I am just switching over to a dedicated account today for JD. I think that my pay has to do with how I run. I get to my receiver the night before whenever it is possible so I can get off loaded and get another load and everything before starting my logs so that way I can maximize the length I can run for that day. Also I live in the suburbs of Chicago and we have tons of freight in and out of this area. There has been plenty of weeks where I make over $1000 and I am home on Friday before 2PM and I just leave out on Sunday evening to get my self offloaded in the early AM Monday. I am also one of those guys who does not stop for anything except what I have to (ie. Ld checks and fuel) because I am out here to make money not sit in a TS and listen to guys tell lies:biggrin_25520:.

I was looking at Prime when I was getting my CDL class. I was somewhat mocked for my questions regarding the time out by one of the guys on the Prime board. Was basically told that maybe I was not cut out for trucking.
Well I am cut out just fine....and I get home almost every weekend!....lol

Yeah I got the same when I asked about if they took their loads home for the weekends on the flat side. They told me that apparently I thought I was special to be catered to that way lol.
