Now don't you start getting all sentimental and sappy on me!!!!! Might bring a tear to my eyes, and we can't have that.

I have now actually driven in New York!! Right through Brooklyn... Yeah on the freeway, but still... Not bad for a CA girl... LOL! Folks out here even complain about my accent. I don't have an accent, no idea what they are talking about there.
So we got ran from AZ to NY with three stops... How ever there is a bunch of time between stops. Also found out that since we are on a 'dedicated' fleet, we don't get detention (which I think sucks hind teat!!)... We have been lumping some of our loads though. It's light enough product that it's actually kind of nice to get out of the truck and get some exercise, and get paid for it !
We're also making a concerted effort to cook meals and to stop for at least one of them, instead of just grabbing easy junky stuff (well not too junky - nuts mostly, but those calories add up QUICK!
So anyway... That's a quick update from Team Klingon...Wedge Thanks this. -

Well we took the time to get the truck it's B service, now we need to schedule time to get laundry done I think we are liking this new fleet... Light loads on the way out, regular loads on the way back. We have been getting the miles we requested, and have been running on our recap for the last week or so. The 'start up' DM is now handing the fleet off to a new DM, so hopefully things will stay good. We are starting to get into a routine w/ who drives what hours. I wake up and start driving around 3ish and he takes over around noonish... We shut the truck down for about 3-4 hours from 2300ish to when I start driving again... That seems to be working out really well. We just need to watch ourselves so we don't go over the 9.5 hr on duty time per day... That's where we are right now and are having to budget our time. Well truck is done, so off we go, bye for now
Wedge Thanks this.
