    Can anyone tell me why Roehl has a wheelbase limit of 265" for van and reefer o/o fleets? I was thinking about leasing after a few months but this was holding me back seeing as most Pete 379exhd and kw w900l's are 270"+. Also a few other things that drove me away from it.

    Ive been to some of our customers that have signs posted no w900s will be loaded.
    bottled water and some paper mills. IT would be fun to see a w9 or a 379 in the caves in KC or southeren MO. IM not saying it couldnt be done but it would be tight.

    I hear ya. I mean I've found some Pete's and kw's that were around 240-260" with a 63" flat top sleeper. Id find a 270" wb Pete and they said it needed to be 265" or less. I understand they have a 265" limit but it's only 5 more inches lol

    I see some of the guys leased with Landstar, Sunco, ptl, ect. That have at LEAST a 280-290" wb. I remember talking to one of the guys that said if there isn't enough room for his long wb (310") then he'd either pay a yard mule or another driver $30-50 to hook to his trailer and back it for him lol

    Save yourself some trouble and stay a company driver or go elsewhere to be an o/o, Roehl has went off the perverbial cliff as far as the o/o side goes.

    I just finished 2 years as a l/o for Roehl and when I received the title I was gone.
    I averaged 2150 a week for the last 2 years no matter how long I was out.

    check into some of the smaller company's and you will see a huge differance in the pay, I am now with a company that has mostly o/o and pay on percentage the first load is to OH here would be the totals on 1 load 580 miles 1 day trip.

    Roehl........................... new company
    580x.91=527.80............. load pays 1305$ x 76.25%=995.06
    .45 fs x 580=261............ .53 fs x 580=307.40
    fuel -400........................ fuel -400
    --------------- ----------------------
    388.80 total ....................902.44 total

    I over all Roehls a good company job just not the o/o side
