What is the proper way to tackle the BAD Brokers? I have a no pay from Allen Lund as of today 01-02-2012. They played it hard to pay for the Fuel Advance and I never got it. Now I have sent this letter to the Surety Bond for them as follows please comment.

    Dear Sir or Madam:
We have sent multiple reminders to your client Allen Lund Company for the payment of the load we delivered on November 18th 2011, for them, from Tucker GA to Westfield MA. They have made a statement in their papers that they pay in two weeks but this day today marks the 40th day from the original invoice sent on November 22nd 2011. This is the second time they have shown lack of performance in payment. They have also shown lack of performance in keeping their promise of Fuel Advance after the load gets picked up at that time we have called them multiple times for the T-Check but no success. Please make a note that your client has been given a written notice for additional charges. We always try our best to resolve issues at the lowest level but in the event of unsatisfactory results we always follow through to the highest level until satisfactory results are achieved. We appreciate your concern and a quick response in this matter. Thanks you so much.
Please find attached copies of the Updated Invoice, Rate sheet BOL and emails sent to you client.

what else went on with the load?Is this the whole story ? Ive never had that problem.so heres some questions...did you personally deliver this load on time with no problems (shortages or damages?)or was it brokered by you to another driver you know or another company?

Yes delivered 1/2 hour before time because they refused to accept earlier.
Pick up was FCFS before 3:00PM, arrived at the shippe 2:05PM, No this load was not double brokered. Kept the broker informed at each step.
He was supposed to supply with a t-check after we picked up the load and sent them the copy of BOL. He played it off and finally I gave up on it and arranged other means to fuel the truck.

Their Surity Bond does not seem to be any good either. Here's what the bond guy writes "If you think inundating the trustee is going to solve the problem then the consiquencely no action is needed." on the fax which he refuses to accept our claim.

Not to sure you should state their bond is no good.

I find that hard to believe.

When you call, have you tried climbing the chain of command ??

Talk to somebody that CAN do something to assist you.

    Good Luck !!

    MB_Guru Thanks this.

Do some research on this company. Been in business over 40 years I think, has revenue in excess of $330 million annually. They would not be able to do this with poor financial stability. My guess is you are dealing with a less competent person in the office. Go straight to the Manager of the office who will be listed on the website. If you can not reach that person, call David or Eddie Lund at corporate. They are not overly intelligent to be honest but they are the owners sons and have ultimate say and one thing they dont like is bad press.
