On these two 600 ratings all hard parts except injectors and metering and timing actuators are suitable for conversion - original inj No 4001791, 4009672, 4010291 or 3348422 change to 4062568

Bush chook, do you have any idea why is it those 625 and 650 ratings are NOT available for trucks, just motorhomes?

Also, are you talking about new ISX (single cam) or twin cam with DPF (http://cumminsengines.com/assets/pdf/4971142.pdf)

Emissions, Art. For some reason rich folks who can afford luxury motorhomes are exempt from emissions. The 1%ers. That's life in the U$A.

BTW Art, it's me Red from the other forum.

They aren't really exempt from emissions. Cummins charges a lot more for that rating because they use more credits to allow that engine to release more nox than any on road truck engine just so that they can have that horse power rating. I knew of the 650 US horsepower rating, I just didn't know Australia had a 600+ hp rating.

ProduceHauler, I've always read that the Signature, now ISX, was designed from day one as twin cam, one will drive injectors and valves and the other one jake brake.

I stand corrected after a little search:

    Single Overhead Cam
    - Our improved XPI fuel system

eliminates the need for a second camshaft. This provides

    weight savings and simplifies operation.

But then on the same document I've found the above paragraph I found this:

    Features and Benefits.

Dual Overhead Camshafts - One camshaft drives high

pressure fuel injection for clean responsive power. The
second camshaft operates the intake and exhaust
valves, with dedicated lobes for the integrated engine
    brake.
