Phone Call

Wow, less then a weeks notice. What if you had just loaded for Cali or Washington state and would not be back for 2 weeks. Can you reschedule for a later date, is that allowed?

Wow. I love caller ID....if I don't recognize a number, I don't answer the phone. A lot of times, I'll set my phone so that it doesn't even ring unless the call is placed from a number already programmed into my contact list....cuts down on potential distractions while driving....ESPECIALLY with the new cell phone ban in effect.

And you can't leave a message....voice mail box is full. I never checked my messages when it WASN'T full...at least this way, people don't leave messages and expect a response from me, only to get upset when I don't respond.

Seeing as how the government has prohibited commercial drivers from using their cell phones while driving, I wonder how long it would take for that ban to be lifted if the state police and other government agencies were suddenly unable to reach people to schedule audits because they were driving and couldn't answer their phone?...and since they are on the road, letters sent to them may not be seen for weeks/months at a time....

These bureaucrats have phones and mail delivery in their offices....but forget that we do not have mail delivery in our offices, and then they BAN us from having phones in our offices....so I'm not too concerned with their inability to contact me.

 

That's pretty short notice. They usually give us a couple of weeks in KS.

 

Phones aren't banned. You just have to be using hands free.
