Woke up at 2am and caught the night shift as they were leaving. Was told they can't find the torque specs for the manifold. I again had to relay this info to the day shift because night shift didn't leave any notes. They're working on it but I raised all hell this morning and it seems to have worked so far.

LMAO

I got loaded in all 6 or 7 (can't remember) locations that they have the only time I was there. Was there for almost 7 hours!! Told my old FM, don't ever send me there again! -
lol Tank. Yeah that place sucked! Delivering it though was a breeze. I delivered it this morning and was the only thing the place had going on. lol. They jumped right on it and had me unloaded in like 15-20 mins.
So I called my FM, she said she was coming in, but I got weekend dispatch instead. I asked if I could go to Neenah to get my winshield sealed, again. The guy says no-preplan, to just park somewhere and call my FM on Monday. I guess I am sitting for the weekend.
I went to the Walmart in Manitowoc, which was right around the corner. I loaded up on supplies, cleaned my truck, and watched a few episodes of Sons of Anarchy. Then I remember there are games on today, plus the Giants tomorrow at noon. I looked and found there was a truckstop like 7 miles up the road in Francis Creek so off I went.
Good friggn call! Got there, got a shower, and am the only one in the driver's lounge. Got a couple of dogs and got the game on. I'll be in here all night, and tomorrow too. LOL
Stay safe all, and go Giants!!!TheTank Thanks this. -
Going to camp here in Hammond until mid day tomorrow. Pretty cool to be able to watch the Saints in the shadows of the Big Easy! Side note 59 was covered in Bama fans heading here for Mondays National Championship game. Go LSU!

Home now, here to stay, Friday was my last day at Roehl... Going to drive School Bus and turn wrenches for awhile, I had had enough of the rule miesters at Roehl and the new rules coming down from FMCSA. There is no joy in the job anymore, so I took my yard and went home... I am going to continue to work to expose some of the injustice that I have seen going on in the industry. Don't get me wrong, I am not a union guy, but there needs to be changes made. Trucking companies and shippers and recievers as well as the government need to wrap their collective heads around the fact that there is a human being behind the wheel of that truck.
One of the best things that you can do is join OOIDA. They are fighting for all of us not just Owner Operators. Its only a few bucks to join, and it helps all of us.
So to all my friends at Roehl please be careful, and make sure you make it home to your family in one piece. I will still be hanging around here just to be a thorn in the eye to my friends in management... So as the saying goes, everyone needs something to believe in; I believe I will have another beer. God bless and be safe...TheTank, thelastrebel, Rattlebunny and 4 others Thank this. -
Ugh, Niagra-Lasalle, or ABT? either way, he caught a break by dodging it.
-
Neither actually... Silgan Containers. He picked up there on Thursday morning and took that down to Silgan in Hopeston Il Thursday afternoon. They reloaded him with stuff going back to Silgan in Hammond. Not really a bad set of loads when you consider the short haul both ways plus the live unload & live reload.

At the end of day three in Gary and my truck is finally done...HOORAY! Brand new exhaust manifold and gasket. She runs like new again!
Now I'm hoping for nice long haul out tomorrow to help recoup the days lost.
