I've talked to a couple of DM's about asking for layover, whether loaded or empty. They need this information:

When loaded and within 100 miles of the drop and waited at least 24 hours to make delivery:
    Load #
    Trailer#
    Date/Time - Date/Time
    City where parked
    Driver Code

When empty and waited 24 hours:
    Trailer# (if you have one)
    Date/Time - Date Time
    City where parked
    "Waiting for load assignment"
    Driver Code

Also, trailer shuttles are paid by PO. Your must have under 100 paid miles to qualify.
    Load#
    Trailer#
    City/State - City/State
    Driver Code

**As a footnote, to cover yourself, make sure you send your check calls**

SO ... this means I won't get it on my paycheck will I? I'll have to go cash it at a truckstop?!? What's a ComChek express code?!? I'm kinda stuck on the part of getting my $$$, cause I already did the requesting part.

You get a PO# for the amount, hit reply and enter your driver code and PO#, push send. You will get back an express code, PAM codes start with 04850..........
You take that code, the dollar amount, your I.D. to a truckstop and they will print a Comcheck. You fill it out with your licence #, address and sign the back, and then they give you the cash. If done with a fuel purchase there is no charge.

You always purchase fuel when you want money back, be it by an express code or a cash advance off your comdata card. Otherwise, they'll charge you a fee.

SO, do you qualify for layover if ordered to pick up a T-Call load and the load has a problem that detains you from moving?

Really? But it says in the driver manual that you're entitled to layover if it's not fault of your own .... and this is not our fault ..

thats bull they can send you a load assignment and it not break layover, as long as you been sitting for 24 hours you get layover. I have had them send me load assignment before the i had a 24 period over and i waited til i hit 24 hours before moving. I had to send msg 3 or 4 times but they finally issued the po for layover.
