See? I never assume anyone has a curtain. But, he still dodged a bullet. They seem to like playing *not my job* when it comes to unloading the cardboard cores, 4-6 hours seems to be the general rule. Unless he was bringing back coils, they're good with that, they know whose job that is.

At the Pioneer Truck Plaza in Richfield, WI the rest of the day and night. Deliver at 0600 tomorrow in Cambria, about 60 miles away. I guess I'll get my fourth day of rest...LOL!

I am still at a truckstop in Francis Creek, WI. Got up this morning and walked across the road to the Marathon truckstop. It has a great big sign facing the Citgo truckstop where I am that says Diner. I was planing on a nice big breakfast only to be totally disappointed that it is closed. Sign even says Now open too. ########!!! LOL
So I walk back over and wind up with a Subway sandwich. NOT what I was looking for but oh well. So here I am, back in the driver's lounge, all to myself again. I got the remote control and got the Giant's game on. Got my NY gear on and another Subway sandwich. LOL
Go Giants!!! Stay safe all!!! -
PA, sorry to hear that it did not work out.
I met up with my trainer (from almost 10 years ago) this summer when he was delivering a load out here (different company now) and he said pretty much the same thing, too much management inside the truck from those NOT inside the truck. That Roehl had changed too much since he had driven for them whae he and I were both there, so he also moved on.
People can piss and moan all they want about unions but when it's you, management and the union you will be a little better off with the union on your side.
Trust me, I don't trust either side as they both are looking out for themselves.
School bus driver huh?
Can't say I would enjoy hauling freight that talks back at me!
Good luck.....
