I had a few questions on Couples Truck Driving. Do you guys know any training program's where me and my husband can train together, basically never be separated ha. Also would i be able to do outerstate driving if my husband is 21 and im almost 21? Or should we just do interstate driving till i turn 21? All websites would be appreciated including the companys that basically pay for your tuition if you sign on for long. Thank you so much everyone.

No way to train 2 people in one truck that I know of...
But I am probably wrong -
CRE trains two to a truck, but you must be 21 for interstate, less for intrastate

You can't even get a Cdl to drive interstate to your 21. Most companies minimum age is 23 due to insurance requirements. My advise is go in the military for four years. When you get out go to college on the GI bill. I hear the army has a buddy system. Good luck.

You can get your CDL at 18. But it is hard to find work that young. It is very possible but hard and you can only drive intrastate. Your best bet is to have your husband hire on and train, then once you turn 21 he can train you. Its kind of the blind leading the blind. Its no different then what the mega carriers practice now with strangers.

Hi businesswomen and welcome to the site. You and hubby will be hard pressed to find work before age 23, but it is possible. C.r. England does "team training", that is a trainer with 2 trainees on board. There are other companies also. Fyi, driving with-in the same state is called "intrastate". Driving out of the state is called "interstate". You might get lucky and find something in your home state.

Once you get your CDL, Schneider is running two newbies to one training engineer in many instances. One drives, the training engineer in the passenger seat and the second trainee sitting on the sleeper.
