Any Cryogenic Haulers?

Pretty much the same style tank.
We haul propane and Hi pressure Amines. Long haul out and back. The shipper does all the loading and most recievers unload.

 

i recall having been around "amines". as a driver and later in a hazardous waste facility. a few different types, not sure exactly. but i can remember a nasty dead fish smell with some of it.

from wiki: Gaseous amines possess a characteristic ammonia smell, liquid amines have a distinctive "fishy" smell.

 

dead fish smell like a bed of roses compared to amines!!

 

Are they no longer pulling out of Braddock, Bulletproof?

hi folks, heres my take with 15years at BOC,LINDE. if you are going to drive trucks doit for a company thats ships their own product. i have made this year 72,000.00 dollars gross. i used 30,000 in benefits and they put 7,000.00 dollars away for me in a savings account i was off work for a month after surgey. we are home every 6-7 days with a rotaing days off schedule. usually 2 for sure and mostly 3days off.it is the top in pay and benefits. there are strict safety standards and if you cant stand to be passed by another truck do not apply. if you want to make a good living and be home its great. i have worked teamster job and it was equal in every way except no dues. it is better than wal-mart especally insurance and vacation and several other aspects.i respect both but if you really get down to it i can make a better dollar andwork atmosphere comparison. WE GET PAID OFF THE ODOMETER! WHO IS DOING THAT? i roamed for 15 years irregular routes and grocery warehouse deliveries and you younger drivers with clean records,let me save you 15 years of wandering and being screwed.WORK FOR A COMPANY WITH TRUCKS NOT A TRUCKING COMPANY. this place is recession proof due to the scarcity of product,it is a constant and demand is more than avaiability. i guess i get frustrated with the fact that folks are are working for places that make their money by cheating the drivers. i hope i can help a couple of drivers who are on the road missing their kids birthday,holidays or anything special because it does not have to be like that. take care.

we split 58cents 2100 perhour cut it in half as its teams still 1,600.00 is not an uncommon week and have made 2,100.00 a week with holiday pay and a 7,200 mile week. its the teanm thing thats the problem after a while just doesnt seem worth it.as you know rough roads,new trucks with terrible ride called PRO STARS. I NEED TO SCRATCH CRAP WITH THE CHICKENS TO APPRECIATE THIS JOB AGAIN

 

i can relate. i ran team for awhile with chemical leaman in a cabover mack. different tractors, different partners, forced dispatches. late 1980's splitting .33 cpm and 12.50/hour. most guys hated it. actually getting any sleep? not much.

my opinion, teams should not even be legal.
