Yeah....I see guys like you from time to time with something going on that they need to know about but I can't get ahold of them to tell them because they "hardly ever" use the CB anymore.

Had a guy in California last year with straps flappin' around and those cheap bolt on portable winches falling off of his trailer onto the freeway....I tried to tell him about it but he was too busy yappin' on the phone to be bothered with paying attention to the radio, Or his freight.

You probably could because you ought to hear the way a lot of these guys act when they hear a female voice on the radio...It's ######' pathetic!

I treat women out here just like anybody else because in my world you're just another driver, Not a potential "road sweetie".

The only traffic I run into on the roads I travel would be that the cows got out.:biggrin_25526:

I run MN and surrounding states and usually the back roads that the only ones I really run into that have a a CB are farmers. I dont turn it off to be naieve (sp?) but wether its on or not I dont hear much talk on there so hence the reason I leave it off. The drivers I do meet on the road I get to know at one of the stops along the way. I pick up rendered animal fat and deliver to the feed mills in small towns which is why I take the back roads.
Th time ot takes us to load and unload the product is more than enough time to do a thourough check of equipment and still do paperwork. Thats one of the important things my bosses taught me during training and is why we have such a good safety rating.

I never turn off my cb, I just don't talk on it much, its just another tool to break up the hum of my tires.
