Can't you guys open a new thread to argue with one another rather than usurping this one? You're tracking mud into someone else's progress report.
Just sayin'.Cooper09 Thanks this. -

Husband got his birth certificate from Sweden. I suggested maybe he fax it to his recruiter just to make sure it'll pass muster at orientation -- can't imagine they get that many Swedish citizens in a class and would like to avoid any "is it official enough?" hassles. His passport expired in 2006 and we can't get it renewed without a trip to Washington DC *or* going to NYC in Feb. or March earliest, *or* to Boston late in the year via a sort of traveling consulate thing. They don't make it easy.
He's been cramming for his CDL permit. Reading the book, trying out some online tests.
Funny story there (to me, anyway!).
For giggles, I told him "read the test to me and let's see how I'd do."
92%. Without opening a book or studying a thing.

Seriously though, most of it was pretty common sense, or so I thought. I mean, if you've EVER driven a motor vehicle, or been near one, or like, saw one move, you'd know the answer to some of these questions, truck or not.
Anyway, paperwork wise, I think we're set for orientation, so long as that birth paper is legit enough for Prime. We still have "things to do" before setting on a date to ship him off but that's one more check off the list. -
He spoke with Tiffany, his recruiter. She said the cert isn't at all a concern, so long as he has his green card.
Back to hitting the books for him. I think we'll try to find a free BP test just to see how that is going. He said he practiced his duck walking in the living room, probably with our special needs houseduck yelling instruction from her bin in the kitchen. Since she tips over when walking, probably not the best duck to model squat-walking after. -
LOL, im thinking the duck walk is a myth, I never had to do it, and nvr saw anyone else do it. But practice away.

Heh, I used to torment my players in the football team (Yes, REAL football we do have it in Sweden too,
just not as big and popular as that 90 minute snoozefest you call soccer over here) with that duck walk in
warmups at practice. I coached a team to a division 2 win back in early-mid 90's back in Sweden.
And today we went to CVS and found a BP meter, I averaged 120/80 with a 79 avg pulse rate for the 5 tests I did there.
