Moose... your instructor is trying to maximize his "take" off of you being on his truck. The longer you're there, the more he makes in instructional pay. Call your FM.

Ip I should have known something was up when the fm said something about guys getting off his truck after the first week and that he was a great instructor so far I have not gotten to drive and have been yelled at for not knowing all the answers to the qualcom msgs I've never been on a big truck in my life im really starting to get frustrated a lil worried about calling the fm since my instructor is his top earner on his board but I guess I gotta do what I gotta do
-
His bonus only lasts 4 weeks

Sounds like he's a terrible instructor. He might be awesome at his job, but there are some people who are very capable of doing, but not so good at teaching. I ran into them frequently in the EMS world. Sounds like he may be one of those guys. Good luck talking to your FM and hopefully getting on a truck where you can learn!

Hopefully everything gets straighten out ASAP I no be pissed if I was in your situation and then on top had someone yelling at me over messages didn't know how to answer

There's a huge difference between a "top earner" and a "good instructor." Call your FM, get a new instructor - don't let this get ya down. If your FM doesn't do you justice with a new trainer, then call Stan Auman at Prime's main number. I guarantee that'll shake the tree a bit - he doesn't take crap from instructors or FMs more concerned about money than their jobs.silenteagle Thanks this.

I would take IP's advise & act quick. By my 3rd day I was driving 400+ miles.

I can attest that if you shake the tree things get done. I know a driver that had a problem and could not get any help at the bottom, so he went to the top if the chain and guess what, problem resolved. I have to say I wad impressed with Robert Low. Good luck man don't let them push you around and communicate, that how you get results.

Moose that truly sucks I don't understand that how are you suppose to learn how to drive if you never drive hope everything changes for you

Update, talked with the instructor last night an I got to drive today was really awesome until I pulled into the ts an missed a gear an he lost his mind and started screaming at me I don't take that very well usually makes me nervous an more mistakes happen so we had a discussion again at high volume this time where I told him he wasn't going to talk to me like that so he initally kicked me of his truck at the TA so as soon as I said fine let's call the fm an get me on a different truck the tune changed he appologized an we have had a great rest of the day the guys is a good guy he just has no patients for new drivers I don't really understand how he is an instructor, im gonna get what I need from him pass my cdl test and move on but u best believe I will be speaking with the psd headshed upon our return no hardworking person who is honestly trying should have to deal with an instructor that acts the way mine has side note I backed her in the hole at the ts even with sir scream alot yelling what an idiot I was on the first try
