Yes it was 4000 net a month but they would up-grade me to a class 1,would the pay be better with that?? and if so what do you think the $$ would be net??? thankx

Believe you me you will gross much more than 4g. That will be your monthly salary. Then you will get a bonus everytime you go on a job. That typically would be 4 out of 5 days. Your job bonus could be anywheres from 50 to 250 bucksper job. Oh and about 50 a day tax-free for meal allowance. Spare me the highway haulers that say you can't make that much net. I have been doing it since 2004 and have almost hit the 100k gross mark in 11 months.

bozzie, i think we need some clarification on the $4000. net per month
is that just your base salary?
if it is, that seems high for a rookie to be getting with no experience.
what equip are you going to be operating?
i know a cement pumper with a class 3 makes more in bonus's per job than a bulk hauler with a class 1.
what are your bonus's going to average.
i'm finding that $100-$150 seems to be an average per job, although it can go higher.
can you contact the recruiter and ask him to clarify the wages. you will be better off ahead to understand them before comparing them with other companies. -
Hi bobbyt.... I just asked the guy what kind of money I would make as I would be coming from Ont.He said I would net 4000... but I would have to find a place to live,no camp job....that was with the bonus.... I have drove dump, fuel, water truck for years...I'm planing to come out and drop of resumes......
bobbyt Thanks this. -
just a word of caution... depending where you will be based out of, there could be a shortage of housing. before accepting the job, make sure you can find a place to live. lloydminster is really bad right now, should get better this summer i hear. good luck.

Don't waste your time. If you are not prepared to run BC and SK at least part time not too many places are going to look at you.
