Yeah, its sad how some companies do people! I've read a couple threads on here about how ppl were with trainers then get called in for something on their app not being right, and BAM- Gone!! I'm sure we aren't getting the whole story alot of the times, but I know it happens.

Thats why I've always steered away from the large companies, but being with o/o's too has had its downfall for sure. I suppose its a balancing act for each person and their own terms!

Yeah I would like to think though that most of the times they are dismissing ppl who really lied about something. I mean you've seen the drivers out on the road and truck stops, they are not the cream of the crop of the population, thats for sure. So I'd say a lot of the times it has to do with someone lying about their employment or criminal background. I do know I had a few dates wrong on my application, by pure mistake, and that it wasn't an issue, they just corrected it and we moved on.

A few years ago, when I went to orientation with Boyd the first time, there was a driver that used his sisters address in GA, then when he got to B'ham, he insisted he had to be routed to south of Tampa FL every week for hometime. It was his fault he went home.
Boyd even tried to work with him, stating he could stay out for 4 weeks then take a week off and drive his personal car, or take a bus to Tampa. He didnt want to do that.

From Dayton you should make it home most every week at least every other week... But rember no matter what company you go with home time really depends on the relationship you have with your dispatcher...
But you are in a good place in Dayton as Boyd has a terminol in Cincy
