Senate votes to block funding for cross-border program

I think thats a great step hopefully they stop it fully

 

President Bush will veto whatever they try. As he should.

 

And why should he.. Oh thats right, he is more concerned what he can do for other countries and screw the U.S.

 

I am not positive, but I swear I heard that the House voted unanimous this morning with the Senate for this. Also adding to it that if Bush veto's it he will also at the same time be vetoing the money that is set for those Interstates to get updated and such. Again I am not sure on this though.

Perhaps CyberGal will find it out for sure.

Right, not sure if you are directing that at me, but I was referring to the House of Representatives, not the Senate. Sorry if I was unclear. I meant to say that I heard the House voted unanimous, "agreeing" with the Senate who voted earlier this week, and of course they were not unanimous.

 

My point is that the Dem's thought it was a good idea then, why not now?

 

I guess they changed their minds. I can't answer that one. But All but one of those Senators are from the northeast. I wonder why that is? (Not attempting to be sarcastic).
