It makes me sad and embarrassed that you have to go through that. It's unacceptable.

I hope this confrontation helps in some capacity.

Under normal circumstances, Sometimes a shouting match is all that is needed to get things right.

It happens at least once with every trainee. He finally gets off his chest what he's thinking, and I get to hear it instead of it stewing inside of him.

    I can then adjust.

But the guy better have a better argument than "here is the receiver, I don't see the entrance, so I'm gonna continue down this uknown road into a residential area to find a place to turn around with this Hazmat load. Even though you told me to pull over."

I've learned that 2 hrs of trial and error in an empty parking lot with no instructions from me (other than STOP) saved me plenty of paper, and mind numbing repeated instructions in how to do it. Totally the result of a shouting match.

Hope things get better for you Moose.
1st day was hectic, didn't get in till after midnight last night and got started early this morning. Everything went fine except blood pressure, had it checked before I came and it was 117/78. At the physical today it was 142/98. Gonna check it again in the morning, hope it's all good then.
Got 5 down out of 7 on the simulator. Ready for another day.

My instructor had me drive straight off the lot from my first load. I had some practice the day before pulling an empty trailor around and then I drove from springmo to Texas in about 8-9 hours. My instructor gives me plenty of drive time, and he's a very experienced driver.

As far as his instructing goes, I don't think he could teach a dog how to ####, but I can learn from watching him instead of trying to figure wtf he's trying to tell me.
