Just wanted to throw this up there for those of you that might be experiencing similar problems. Have a DDEC 3 installed in a 2000 Classic. Lost a turbo coming out of the "new" south FL scalehouse a little over a month ago....snapped shaft...couldn't use the cruise on the hwy because it would "surge" after slowing a bit. New turbo..water pump... So here last week I emptied out and while headed to the house had no "power".. come to find out that the boost sensor was bad...replaced that (along with the intake manifold as the bolts snapped off according to shop) Now..cruise works flawlessly! Throttle response now devoid of occasional "lurching"... Hope this helps someone that may have been experiencing similar symptoms..

I have a ddec 3 for over 12 years. I can tell you a few things, that I have learned over the years, if your new to that engine.tesla4all Thanks this.
-
do tell? I'm always interested to hear, if i already know: it won't hurt to hear again
-
What are common issues with these engines?
-
Those two bolts for the boost sensor will be seized in there after 10 years. Sometimes you can work them out, use some heat or drilling, but it usually isn't pretty and takes time.

Oh man, believe me, a little anti seize goes a long way! Can also save a guy literally hundreds of $$$ too!!!

Thanks Heavyhaulerss...Been doin Detroits ever since Cummins went electronic...I learn as I go...and eventhough this may be old news to some... It may save someone some time...., Thanks for your response and in the future if I have any questions I'll pm you if that's ok..
