Is it or is it not a dot regulation to check for sleep apnea? If yes. Which companies are helping out the driver instead of witchunting?

No DOT regs yet but I think it might be coming sometime in the future....Like I said in another thread on this it might be time for some drivers to start thinking about dropping some weight..

And then you have guys like me. Sleep interupted avg 26 times an hour. Blood Oxygen sats drop to 77% for 41 minutes. Below 88 is not good at all.
I cannot recall before being independently diagnosed , when I have slept as soundly and wake feeling refreshed since getting my CPAP.
Heres some things to look for.
Loud excessive snoring(which causes or can cause an elongated uvula, that little thing that hangs in the back of your mouth.). Drooling while asleep. Waking up more tired than when you went to "sleep". being sore on awakening(from jerking/twitching all night)
All these things are what I experienced.rocknroll81 and cuzzin it Thank this. -
it is not a regulation but many insurance co's and company's are requiring it

I never sleep without my CPAP. Though I have to make sure my little girl doesn't see me wearing the mask. She did once and it freaked her out, lol!

Don't get worried about that sleep study. If you have sleep apnea, that sleep study could save your life. Call it a blessing in disguise.
