Problems with 07 Volvo Cummins ISX engine

We got our insite software renewed... tried to run ERG-Turbo test... it failed on EGR.. so they are putting another EGR in it....truck still runs..just not real well.. but still gets the job done i do..lol

 

I had this problem when the speedometer sensor went bad. I'm not saying that is the problem, but an example of what can cause it. Volvo seems to error on the side of extreme caution with just about anything out of the ordinary with their trucks. Even very minor things. So anything that changed about the time this started happening could be it.

Can you still drive the truck? I ran my truck for two weeks before getting the speedometer sensor replaced. This after Volvo told me I would have to have the truck towed to a dealer.

 

something's putting the ecm in a speed derate. you'll need insite with you in the truck when this is happening to see why. other than that, we can only speculate.

 

Well needed to update... new EGR.. still same problem... going to try and run the turbo/egr test again.. might have to run a round with insite going.. this has to be a simple problem.. I checked the cold air line clamps...they are tight. guess nest thing is pressure test..and see if there is a leak..

 

Ran insite today.. EGR passes test..turbo fails.. looks like time to throw more$$ at it..

 

So you ever figure out the problem ? Mine started doing this crazy thing too .. Ran like a beast a week ago now I have no pulling power and the truck losing power pulling any type of hill .. Before it run up hills like no problem with 45000 in the trailer , now even empty it falls on it's face ..
