Varmit, If you are putting forth your best effort out here, Roehl isn't going to give up on you yet. Phase 3 was tough on me also because I got stuck in an 8 state roatation and my miles suffered for it sometimes. I did the full 6 weeks and I am in the 14/7 fleet. So it took awhile for me to move on. It will get better. especially after Phase 3.

At the Pilot in Remington, IN with a delivery in Hoopeston, IL in the morning. Today was an interesting day to say the least. Qualcomm starts going crazy with five messages in a row to stop and call dispatch. I had just crossed into western Ohio on the 80 so I stop and call. They need me to go about 4 more miles to relay my load for a driver to get him headed home.
Okay and what is his load? It shorts me miles so I'm not happy since I've already lost three days due to breakdown in Gary. I talk to dispatch about this issue and it just happens to be my old FM who I ran into last week. I explained to her that the last three months have been mediocre at best. She said she'd see what could be done. I told her that I'd be willing to stay out till next Monday instead of this Friday if it meant getting some miles.
She calls me back in 30 minutes and informs me I'm back on her fleet...HOORAY!!!
After I shut down today she calls me again to tell me that I'm picking up at the consignee as well for a relay to Gary and then picking up load going to Casper, WY. AWESOME!!! -
I am at the Pilot in Lincoln, Il. Dropped three loads off today and have one left for tomorrow. Then we start the Easterly run towards home. Hopefully will get a good load going close to home. I am thinking I will probably drop this curtainside off in Gary for a flatbed. Just a guess. I kind of dig the curtainside, no tarping thing. Plus not having to wind all 13 straps at once was nice.
I was delivering doors. First 2 loads were taken off by hand. They took forever. When the guy at the 3rd drop said he had a forklift I was so happy. Took like 5 mins and I was gone baby gone. I have about 35 miles to my delivery in the am. Just grabbed a shower and some Steak n Shake for the first time. Not bad!
Oh well, Netflix time!
Stay safe all!!! -
LUCKY!! NOTEZ...i wanna go West
...the furthest west I have made it so far is Laredo TX....but I already have been to most of Texas cause my mom and grandfolks live there...(well the south part anyway)...all i can say about texas is that it takes FOREVER to get out of once your in....but I do like the state anyway....it was good for a change cause I was really starting to hate the NE....
will have to get back to Florida soon...Have my 2 week army time...then out on the road til I feel like goin home... -
Shut down with 2 minutes remaining on my drive time. Looks like I'm spending the night at a gas station in Montgomery, AL. I was supposed to be home today. I think somebody said the 7 fleet is more like 8/6. Oh well drop in Macon in the morning & I'm sure up to the yard.

South of Louisville, I swear I can't come down here without some cluster&$@# right before the bridge at the state line. Tonight it was a big truck in the right lane right on the bridge (the I64 exit). There was an ambulance and they towed the whole rig so the driver must have had a heart attack or something. Hopefully he's ok. Didn't get as far as I planned, but only about 30 miles shy.

Sunday night was Waterbury CT, Monday was Kylertown PA and last night was Russell IL. They sent him from CT to reload in NJ at a port...I think that's the 3rd time he's had to use his TWIC card...

Dropped off this morning in Chatham, IL. Was empty by 7:30. It is now 10am and still sitting here. I want to get out of here and headed towards home! I have beer and bourbon waiting!
