Help..... I just bought a Freighter....
Bobtail started out great.
Empty side dumper when letting out in first gear as it engages it shudders a little till im rolling
With 25 ton load on any kind of incline it bucks like crazy!!
If I am on downward incline it starts out normal
It seems to be getting slowly worse.... If I cant get moving you can see my problem. this is only starting from dead stop.
All the trucks ive driven let out on steep incline and away they go.
Whats worn?
What needs adjustment?
The clutch begins to engage about 1 inch of pedal push
No grinding of gears going into gear.
Linkage?? meaning clutch is not engaging soon enough take up some space??
Help gotta move dirt again tomorrow
Truck is bucking!!

inspect cluth disk and pressure plate.
-
start with inspection hole, but I'd drop the tranny, becouse pices and parts that bad clutch throws may easily damage bellhousing and flywheel, especially with MB engine
-
they are in good shape... adjusted clutch and still does it....
Just feels like the gear is too high and it doesnt just "GRAB" and go -
How is the truck geared? Trans and diffs?
-
UJs... any hot after ride parts? -
check s-cams. they may stuck
-
You may want to check the motor mounts especialy the rear ones. If the insulators are bad the engine will want to rock causing your clutch linkage to do stange things.
-
at what pressure is your compressor unloading at?
-
You better check the carrier bearing on your drive shaft.
