Illinoise does not allow you to transfer your cdl from another state. You will need to get your license in IL or move to a different state.

unfortunatly it will disqualify you from allot of places. in companyies eyes a suspension is a suspension. don't matter what it is for. it sucks i know but it is for insurance purposes. you may be able to see if it can get removed from your record but i don't know if this is possable
-
i know this was true for a while(thanks alot jim ryan you crooked moron) but i am not sure anymore. i know that i was told that it was possable going to get changed so you may want to look into it unless you looked into in the past couple of days and found this out and in that case they must have decided not to....

You pay something like 14 or 15 dollars for the section you'll need to study for the CDL permit. It is good for 30 days. I am studying that. It is SO MUCH better than the paper manual. I also bought the pre-trip inspection list which has real pictures to look at. Helped me a lot. They also have a section on the air brakes.two tone Thanks this. -
Thanks for letting me know. I get the feeling that there's something i'm missing to ask ... What about regular car driving? How much exp do you have to have with that?
-
SPAT. I will let you take this one. Know what a steering wheel is and accelerator pedal and know where the brake pedals are and the location of each. I am sorry just being a little smart ### here. Never heard this question before.
-
Its a valid question. I think you need to have your license for 3 years before the school will accept you.

Well spoke to a recruiter today Tim?? Anyways he told me they do accept Illinois students and once you receive the Texas cdl you will most likely have to do the full Illinois test to receive your Illinois cdl. I should be attending the academy in 2 Monday's.
