I haven't a clue, but that is interesting.. They call you right after sending you the load, or what?

You sure it's the planners? CSR does it a lot to keep the customer informed on times and such.

    Nope.. for example.

I ran from York, Pa to Memphis, Tn. First 2 days I ran hard. I had 240mi left to run the last day, simple 4 - 4½ hour drive, leaving me 7hrs to snag another load at the end, right?
OK, so im parked, figured I could sleep in 2 hours, total of 12, then roll out perfectly and make delivery 45mins early, sweet.. thus leaving me enough time to get a new load, pick it up and roll a few 100 miles and always be ahead of the schedule.

Weelll, I get up turn the truck on, boom qc msg "do you plan on driving today? And make this delivery?"

Half asleep, I re read the msg and was pretty much insulted, so I deleted it. As soon as I deleted the message, my phone rings.. Person on the phone pretty much asks me the same thing verbatim .. I flat out told her, I was insulted by her call and message and assured her there is no problems on my end, maybe she should go drive a truck a few years and hung up..

Made delivery waay ahead of schedule, no problems.. felt like calling her back and asking if she was going to get to work and send me a preplan, lol but id probably be still sitting in Memphis terminal..

I did call my DM and kinda let him know I don't appreciate the "BIG BROTHER" over my shoulder going on's.. he was actually shocked and surprised it happened..

Anyways, just curious if anyone has had this happen to them, or not.. /shrugs.

Coulda been, not 100%, but nevertheless, it sucks. Feel like they don't trust me or im not doing my job, or something to that effect..

That was the CSR for that account. Planners give you the load then forget about you. CSR doesn't care about you at all, only their account.

not to defend planners, but might have had alot of drivers who are late.45 minutes isn't that much wiggle room.if that pisses you off that bad, might i suggest decaff,or anger managemant classes.

Sounds like you're an eagle in a bunch of buzzards, turkeys and chickens. Time to find eagles to work with..

They don't expect you to think for yourself and make your own decisions, do they? Time to get a real job.
