Well that explains his attitude; he was probably getting ready to leave in the near future anyway. It’s seems to be a pattern with drivers doing training to bail them out and it isn’t working out for anyone.

Hopefully things will work out and you get a real trainer that isn’t such a DBag.

Wow Moose, that really sucks. Sounds like it won't be any great loss to Prime to not be employing this guy any longer. How many hours did you actually manage to log with him? I'm sure IP or U2 will have some ideas for you, but I'd definitely be talking to someone and letting them know exactly what went on. At the very least hopefully they can pair you up with a good trainer who will actually do a good job teaching and helping you get experience.:biggrin_2554:

    #####.

Isn't 10 days like a quarter of the way through a typical PSD period? You coulda been 25% done by now right? You got as much driving done as another trainee did in one day!

We're taking these "bad trainer" stories as a lesson of what to look for early in the teaming process and knowing when to say when; I don't want my husband to waste his time in a truck with someone who has no actual interest or expertise in training. That gains us nothing.

Squeak the wheel, Moose! Make sure you get what YOU need in your next trainer and don't be passive about it. Don't let non-performers waste your time.

    Rootin' for you.

That sucks. Stick with it - get another instructor and git-r-done. Perhaps the training staff could hook you up with a great instructor because of this little disaster?

There are really good instructors here at Prime who do the job cause they love teaching. Mine was lime that. Have a chat with Stan. Hes over the psd program. Right now there's more instructors than students

Stick with it, I am finishing up orientation tomorrow, and there are 47 students, but there are 67 instructors at the Prime campus now. you shouldn't have a problem getting right back out

So I take it he changed his mind about quitting? Too bad he's having problems at home. Maybe the problem is he's bi-polar. :biggrin_2551: We got hit hard with the ice and snow last night. Where are you guys heading? Stay safe out there!
