Well, after much research, I've found a dashcam I believe should do an adequate job. Night vision isn't as good as I would like, but it'll do for now.

If you know of other dashcams that work well, let me know. Thanks.

This is what I have. It's not great quality but shows enough to cover me in the event of an accident.
Here's an example

I don't have anything from night, but it shows up pretty well without night vision.Everett and Travelinman Thank this. -

I'd check with your employer. Especially if you plan to post this feed online. I've seen guy get fired over these. I've also seen guys get hung in court when their own video feed showed them get in a wreck. We had a guy at our company a couple years ago record himself rear ending a car at a red light, the camera caught him tossing the road atlas from his steering wheel to the jump seat after the impact.

Also some states it's illegal. The last company I was with Cargo Transporters, had a paper from FMCSA saying the driver could not be ticketed or prosecuted for having it in the truck in states where it was illegal. Maryland is one state where it's illegal to film police officers.

Maryland and Florida seem to be the only states where it's illegal to videotape someone without their consent, even in public. Massachusetts makes it illegal if the camera is hidden.
Mr.Mustard is right! Due caution is necessary! -
Check into the new camera systems that are installed in Law Enforcement Vehicles. I'm not talking about the old ones that use a VHS video tape. These new ones are digital and continuously record. If you need to capture something, you just press a button on the camera and it will back up two or three minutes and save evrything from that point on.
Maybe not this one but something similar: http://www.marteldigital.com/de.htm
