Didn't your friend save copies of signed BOL's ? I bet the customerwould have given him signed copies later if he asked for them.

It was a strange deal. He got no cooperation from customer. They told him that he had to call the carrier.

The companies. Just go to the shop and ask them for some extra bulbs. Hell, I am an O/O and I was given several rear, side and marker lights to carry with me. They would rather you have a $3 lightbulb than pay a road service bill or a fine.Injun Thanks this.
-
I did that. Unfortunately, they would not give many out. You have to come back to the yard sometime each week. They would not even reimburse for any washer fluid bought on the road.
Thank goodness I left them. -
Well that is a little ridiculous..... even when I was leased to Schneider I was able to fill up on thir washer fluid and lights.
Speaking of, have you seen the washer fluid prices on the road?? i paid $3.49 for a gallon at the TA. it is only $1.79 at WalMart, what a scam LOL....i need to get into the washer fluid biz -
You miss the point, if a company wishes to make you pay everytime something happens ands say part of policy then flip it on them. And start costing them for everything. "Oh put bulb in. I will charge $45 dollars a hour for that minimal of 1/2 hr. And tell them you want a po and approvial on quam before you do repair. But truthfully, If company starts this stuff. I deliver load, send message "Need load to terminal. I am quittingf. And have a job before I get there! -
Heres what you do.When you pull up to fuel, you grab the clean bucket of windshield cleaner that they put out in the morning and fill up your resevoir.LOL.Its the same thing.WAALAA.Free windshield wiper fluid.

You wouldn't believe how many times I saw the mexican truckers doing that in Ganado, TX. they finally put chains on the buckets so they can't be lifted off the ground....#### shame.
-
I saw that. I buy it at Walmart. Truckstops are getting ridiculous.

The light bulb would be the second thing that got replaced in this scenario, the driver would be first.
