From my understanding they have to go back 3 years on previous work experience for verification. Might be wrong. But I believe that is what they are required by DOT to do.
-
well im not about to start lying on my application, id rather get in on a good standing without lying. its just frustrating, knowing something holding me back has no true reflection to who i am, or the skills i posses.

I feel for ya man. Sucks that a tiny mistake in life can affect you so greatly. But don't give up! Your one of the type of guys who isn't getting hired by the big starter companies and will be more likely to land a local great paying job. I know your frustrated now driver, but it will work out. I have faith in you.
-
yep, you are right Lantern, if you have never driven before they are required to go back 3.,
-
well then it looks like thats what im out to do, probably too late to start tonight, but i figure i can head out tomorrow. pick up a few papers and start knocking on doors of locals i can find round town. fun will be getting around town

I don't see on your thread where you've applied anywhere. My suggestion would be to apply to several companies before giving up entirely. And then take what you're offered. Everybody's gotta start someplace.
-
So you say you've applied to everyone you can find. Have you heard anything back from any of them? Any feedback at all?
You also say you got reasonably good marks in school. Does your school offer any kind of job placement? Can they put in touch with any recruiters who might at least be able to give you some insight as to why exactly you're having trouble getting hired? For all you know, your military history might have nothing to do with your results. It might be something else entirely.
And finally are you sure you're looking everywhere? Are you considering places like local lumber yards or food/beverage distributors where you might be able to get hired into a non-driving position and transition into a driving position later? The story about the tent the camel and his nose applies in trucking just as much as anywhere else.
