This has got to be the worst Company i have ever driven for, they are all liars from the recruiters on down the line, I was told 34cpm but after orientation it came down to 32.. I only lasted 2 weeks that was enough for me & how about the $15 tarp pay what a joke!!! & the best was the Long Island N.Y to Lowellville Ohio garbage run. if I want to haul garbage I'll get a job with the City Of Atlanta!!!! I told my DM I was bringing truck to terminal to turn it in she informed me I had to pickup a load in order to bring it to a terminal, I did not have the timbers or straps cause my load was T-called & the other driver didn't have any, I told her i was not getting it loaded they had a choice either I bring it to Terminal or the Pilot parking lot, I left it at the Pilot!!! they tried to hold my last check for truck recovery but the DOT safety admin on load securement for my DM trying to force me to pickup a load I could not properly secure & Dept of Labor wage & hour says different, they will be sending me a check.... They are not on real good graces with the DOT anyway. I would advise any driver new or experience to stay away from the crooks

Abandoning a truck isn't real smart either...I would've just drove the truck back to them...

Good luck trying to find a driving job now...you screwed yourself.

I drove for L J Kennedy for just about 2 years before they closed their doors. I hauled trash, steel, lumber anything they asked me to I hauled. trapped in all kinds of weather. and you gave it two weeks wow bet your proud of yourself. now reach around and pat yourself on the back

btw I've done that Long Island N.Y to Lowellville Ohio run more the once the trash are in bags all ya gotta do is strap it and put 2 to 3 signs on the trailer get to lowville unstrap it they push it off...

Guess I'm on the same page as everyone here. 2 friggen weeks??? Abandoning the truck at a place they didn't authorize? I once left a truck in a truckstop but that was at the direction of Swift and did not have a problem with my DAC. Not the right stuff for the load? You know how many times I was sent for a load and had to buy dunnage but was then re-imbursed after calling my boss first? It's not unusual in flatbedding.
You sound like a problem driver to me. I think that THEY are lucky to be rid of YOU not the other way around. You walked in with an attitude and it sunk you.
Your not going to get any love from this corner my friend.
