RNI Trucking will hire females. They currently operate out of Vernal, UT, Rangely, CO, Minot, ND, and somewhere in PA. They don't haul much oil. Primarily they take care of frac's, cement jobs, and service some of the rigs.

I'll say it and don't care who it offends. I believe the OP is trolling, if she really wanted to work in the oilfields she would be. I'm sure the occasional discrimination dose exist but there are to many women already doing the job she claims she wants to do with the companies she accuses of discrimination.
I believe people that cry a lot about things such as this are trying to either make trouble, or excuses for their own shortcomings.

I've worked at so-called men's jobs all my life and have never been turned down for a job due to being a woman. I just got in there and did the job the best I could.

Back in the 1980s I had a friend (a very girly-girl) who went to work on an oil rig with an all woman crew. She had worked as a hard-rock gold miner before that.

We didn't whine about not getting work, we just went out and got it.

I don't think they didn't hire you because you are a woman, they probably didn't hire you because you have zero experience (respectively of course). The oil fields anywhere sometimes hire people with little experience and it costs the company in equipment, damaged sites, and higher insurance rates due to mistakes that seasoned drivers rarely ever make. I understand that they hired guys from your school with no experience and I know that's gotta suck but also, we have to remember what these companies have already gone through hiring women. Let's be honest here, I'm willing to bet that most of the women that come up here don't last long, the roads are white knuckle, seat sucking pucker in the winter, the bars are rough (guys constantly throwing ##### at any chick around, can imagine it getting old), and also some trades are better performed by men. I'm not being sexist at all, but can a woman be as good a firefighter as a man? Can she carry a 180lb. person down a ladder or staircase? This is only one example of many that are facts that men are better FIT for the job whether it be physical or mental. The learning curve on a semi truck is a really long time and as an 8 year driver I stay humble by saying that I learn something new every day. I'm not trying to be rude at all, but I remember being a new driver, and confident, on of the best in the class etc, but I soon learned my learning wasn't over lol

I honestly think that if they did give you the runaround it was from being new more so than being a woman. Some may have been from that of course as stated above but that cold shoulder would not be from you, it's from other women who have came up here and for some reasons or other couldn't handle the field. If you have kids, your chances are probably even less than without. The problem I see here is that you are trying to get jobs with all these big companies. THere are many smaller companies that would probably hire you.

I haul frac sand up here and I've seen women sand haulers, water haulers, belly dumpers so far.

But to anybody who's going to trash the companies, first let's get REAL ok? This is roughneck country, no ####### allowed. When they come, they (men/women who can't handle it) don't last long, so there is reason for anybody to be weary of newcomers. It's not all about the physical either. Let's be real again, respectfully of course. There are certain situations where men will do better mentally than women, and of course vise-versa. These fields are tough, but it doesn't mean a woman can't cut it, like I said there are a few women here.

If you have no place to stay, you can live in an owner/operator truck, but trust me baby wipe baths and a shower every four days sucks, lack of a real bed sucks, yada yada.

BUT! Being a woman up here would have many advantages too, because big stupid guys will do whatever you ask them to, they'll help you out, etc....not for trade (if you know what I mean), but just simply for the attention, or even having a woman to talk to. There are plenty of good people up here both local and implants and I'm sure some guy (because most of them are lol) would offer a couch, a job, a room, a camper, whatev ya know?

If I was you, I'd try Transystems (if you have your doubles, of you don't shame on you ';D AND tankers), or any construction outfit with belly dumps, or even some sand bag hauling flatbed. Some of the transportation is not backing around a 15 ft pit of drill mud and jackknifing into a spot in 16 inches of mud, while not trying to slip (and the mud is SLIIIIICK here) into the pit, bend the steps on the 4 ft mud wall, rain jackin' your mirrors, and being feet, sometimes inches away from millions of dollars of equipment. New drivers usually don't know what's up, unless they started in dairies, concrete trucks, belly dumps and transpo like that.

I know it sucks, but the reality is that guys will get the shot first, it's big oil, it's been a guy thing forever lol There are some places that the PC crap won't float, rugby teams, bar fights, oil fields, and some others it's just fact.

I keep reading over your post and I find it hard to believe that you have all the bases covered here, and now I'm wondering if this post is by someone who may be the competitors of these companies lol Forgive the paranoia, but anyways, it is what it is, but that doesn't mean you give up, ok? Also, where did you drive for two years? If it was OTR it isn't jack to this area of tranpo, ya know? What they want to hear is that you've been battling cow ####, backing 53 foot belt trailers into commodity stalls that were built for a 10 wheeler, or pouring concrete from a front end loader on a side hill and every time the barrel rolled the mud would pick front wheel off the ground ready to roll, until the barrel brought the mud bad hillside and set the truck back down. Or you used to chain your #### up all the time and pull it out with a loader BY YOURSELF (tricks involved there too) and such. Have you ever thrown iron? Ever fix a broken air hose? Up here you will grease your own truck, change it's tires, maintain and adjust all brakes on the vehicle, and some jobs you'll be changing the oil and doing the full maintenance. I'm not saying you can't just givin heads up. Also, I don't know of any free housing given by any employer up here. I've called on the man camps myself just being curious and these guys pay anywhere from 1200-1800/week, no BS. Some rent houses for their workers (if they find them) and the guys are stacked two to a room and still pay 400/month sharing a room...yuck.

If you're hot, I have a room for you. J/K! I only say that because I'm hot and would only accept equally hotness because it's all part of the Feng Shui here at Paradise Point :D

I know there are tons more that will hire women, but like I say it's a man's world here, sincerely best of luck (If this post is by a legit person and not some PC seeking, fire spreading, meddle with things they shouldn't doucher).

I have seen two woman drivers in the oilfield in OK. I saw one at a disposal she had a new uniform on and I only seen her once. The Company I work for hired a woman who had been a driver for 22 years. She rolled a truck after a month or so on the job and wont be driving again due to injuries. I have worked with some very skilled women drivers in the Army that could put in a good days work. The oilfield is some rough work and seems to be a Macho arena. I been witness to fights at disposals , truckstops, and in the middle of the road over nothing important. A woman can do the job if you wanna put up the other drivers. I had one the other day during casual conversation "I just spent 12 years in prison I sure an glad they gave me a job right outta the pen" What do you say to that??

Who said that, a woman? A woman did a dozen, or a dude? lol Your post pretty much nails it on the head. SOME women can handle it, MOST can't. But if a woman is gonna drive truck, she's probably pretty tough ya know? When I went to driving school there were two women there. One was a 50 year old housewife that was divorced and lonely, and the other I married. Even the one I married couldn't handle it. So, in my experiences women are striking out. I'm not being mean, just stating facts.

So do you have any documentation of this? If so you could have a Sex Discrination case.
I'm in Mandan,ND right now, and sitting here at the truck stop, i watch 5 Oil rig trucks come in to fuel, and one was driven by a woman.
Like i said you have documention, you may have a lawsuit. I for would be on the phone to the Dept. Of labor here in North Dakota. They will have the best answers for you.

That list is not accurate cause Power Fuels has quite a few women drivers. I see them every day out in the field. Key energy doesn not have any though... Neither does Western Petroleum....
